Production / Anodising Manager
Owen Coyle (Anodising) Ltd is a small anodising company which was started as a family business in 1968 which has grown to be one of the most recognised anodising plants in the UK. Owen Coyle (Anodising) Ltd has enjoyed growth during the recession and is keen to capitalise on this with the introduction of a new role of a Production/Anodising Manager.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- To manage anodising operations on 2 anodising lines
- To ensure on time production to the required quality standard
- To ensure company Health & Safety and environmental policies are adhered to
- To manage the operation of ancillary plants (effluent treatment, chiller units and boiler)
- To advise on all technical aspects of the product and production
- To manage and schedule all maintenance
- Process improvement and project management
Reporting Structure
- Reports to Directors
- Manages all shop floor personnel
Key skills and experience
- 5+ years experience of managing anodising operations and processes
- Sounds technical knowledge of anodising and chemically brightening processes
- Understanding of anodising effluent plant requirements and operation
- Good problem solving skills
- Highly organised and strong people management skills
- Personable, able to manage a diverse team in a people-centred manner to drive results
- Able to deliver a quality product to customer specification on time
- Able to prioritise deadlines to ensure timely completions
- Able and enthusiastic about communicating with other departments to pre-empt issues & unlock inter-departmental co-operation
- Willing to share and gather ideas from team to improve company results
- Ideally experience of working within a small company
